Client Update: Canada Post Strike – September 25

Effective today, September 25, Canada Post has issued a nationwide strike. At Waypoint Insurance, our top priority is ensuring you continue to receive your important documents and can make payments without disruption. While this situation may cause delays, we have put several solutions in place to support you.

How We’re Supporting You During the Strike

  1. Digital Delivery (Preferred Option)
To avoid delays, we encourage you to receive your insurance documents digitally. Please confirm your preferred email address with us so we can send them securely and promptly.
  2. In-Branch Pickup
If you need your documents right away, you may pick them up at your local Waypoint branch. We’ll work with you to ensure they’re ready at a convenient time.
  3. Courier Service for Urgent Needs
For high-priority materials (such as claims documents or renewals that cannot be sent digitally), we will use courier services to ensure timely delivery.
  4. Payment Options
To make sure your coverage remains active, please use one of these alternate payment methods:
    – Online: Pay via credit card on our website or through your online banking bill payment.
    – By Phone: Call us to process your credit card payment.
    – In-Branch: Visit your local Waypoint office to pay in person.
  5. Refunds During the Strike
All refunds will be processed through e-Transfer: If you are set up for Auto Deposit, funds will go directly into your account.
If not, the preset password will be Waypoint.
Please note: Processing limits may cause refunds to take up to 10 business days.
For clients who prefer to receive a cheque, deliveries will be sent by courier to branches every two weeks starting October 14 (subject to holiday schedules).
  6. Physical Mail
If you prefer paper copies, they will be prepared and mailed once Canada Post services resume.

Our Commitment to You

We understand this situation may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience. By being transparent about potential delays, we hope to set clear expectations while continuing to provide flexible, reliable options. Rest assured, Waypoint Insurance is committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout the strike.

If you have any questions or would like to update your delivery or payment preferences, please contact your local Waypoint branch.
