Account Executive, Private Client Solutions

Reporting to: Manager, Private Client Solutions

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Private Client Solutions Account Executive will leverage in-depth knowledge of insurance sales, services, and diverse product lines to deliver exceptional client experiences. With a natural curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for client satisfaction, the Account Executive will excel in building and maintaining relationships, thriving both independently and as part of a team, utilizing outstanding communication skills to effectively connect with clients and colleagues.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work in-office or in-branch based on the needs of the role and/or as required be management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Execution

  • Collaborate with your team and commercial account executives to implement Waypoint’s service and sales strategies.
  • Take ownership of meeting targets for new business, client retention, execution, and profitability.
  • Coordinate sales efforts within your team to enhance client outcomes and optimize performance.

Account Management & Reporting

  • Manage a portfolio of existing house accounts, ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction.
  • Enter opportunities into EPIC and provide weekly reports on sales efforts and progress.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline by qualifying leads and following up to expand your business portfolio.
  • Develop and execute an annual Sales Strategy Plan to guide your activities and achieve objectives.

Relationship Building & Networking

  • Stay updated with industry trends and peripheral business developments to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with high-value insurance underwriters through effective correspondence.
  • Attend industry and broker functions as needed to enhance networking and industry awareness.

Marketing & Client Engagement

  • Manage accounts receivable, activities, and client responses in accordance with Waypoint’s policies and guidelines.
  • Provide market support to contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client proposals and other documentation as required.
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency and adaptability to a paperless work environment.
  • Embrace flexibility and willingness to handle various duties as needed.

Administration & Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues with necessary information and resources.
  • Assist in formatting and preparing client documents, including letters, proposals, and emails.
  • Organize and store all correspondence and documents in EPIC to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines consistently.

Additional duties and responsibilities may be added during the course of employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 2 BC Insurance license is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
  • Strong curiosity and understanding of clients’ insurance needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently with self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

The base salary or wage range for this role is $60K to $85K per year. At Waypoint, compensation is determined by a combination of factors including a candidate’s experience, job-specific knowledge, and skills. Internal equity to ensure fairness across the organization and region/location is also considered.
