Fleet Insurance Specialist

Reporting to: Manager, Fleet

POSITION OVERVIEW

Waypoint is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Insurance Specialist to join our team.
In this critical role, you will manage our portfolio of fleet insurance clients while actively pursuing new
business opportunities to expand our clientele. The successful candidate will ensure the timely renewal
of policies, address client inquiries, and foster strong customer relationships within the fleet insurance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Portfolio Management 
  • Manage the existing portfolio of fleet insurance clients, ensuring comprehensive coverage and
    timely renewals.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities to expand and diversify the fleet insurance portfolio
Client Engagement
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their insurance needs, address irregularities, and verify coverage
    amounts for accuracy.
  • Conduct in-person meetings at various locations, including client sites and dealerships, to build
    strong relationships and gather necessary information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and resolving issues
    effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional insurance products to existing
    clients.
Collaboration & Support
  • Assist other staff members with fleet insurance inquiries, sharing expertise and supporting team
    initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and contribute to the overall
    success of the insurance business.
Industry Knowledge & Compliance
  • Maintain a strong understanding of fleet insurance practices, industry trends, and regulatory
    requirements to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Continuously develop and sustain knowledge of best practices and standards in fleet insurance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all client interactions and insurance
    policies.
  • Stay compliant with industry regulations and company policies regarding fleet insurance practices

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing fleet insurance portfolios.
  • Hold a Level 1 General Insurance License (Level 2 is considered an asset).
  • In-depth knowledge of fleet insurance industry practices, trends, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex insurance
    concepts to clients.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve collective goals.
