Generally, it is best to request a quote 30 days prior to the desired effective date of the policy. Most commercial insurance quotes are only valid for 30 days, and some carriers will decline to provide a quote for effective dates that are too far in the future.

For a commercial general liability quote, please be prepared to provide a full description of your businesses operations and provided services, as well as your projected gross annual revenue for the coming year. For property quotes, we will require full construction details on any premises you own, lease, rent or occupy that is going to be used as part of your business operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the year it was built, construction type, square footage of the building and occupied unit, as well as all heating, plumbing, electrical, and roof information, including the date of last updates to these systems for buildings older than 25 years.

We can work with you to obtain the right coverage.  If you are new to carrying a commercial insurance policy, your first annual policy will be payable in full and 100% minimum retained (non-refundable).

Commercial Insurance policies at Waypoint start at $750 annually, however this premium varies depending on your businesses operations and coverage selected.

We can have a quote ready in as little as 24 hours, however in most cases it takes anywhere from 2 to 7 business days, with more complicated businesses taking more time to discuss with underwriters. This also greatly depends on the number of requests each carrier has received that week, and any resultant back-log due to this.

Policies are sold on an annual basis.

Please let our team know and provide a copy of your current policy.  With a copy of your policy we are able to quote for comparable limits and coverages so a fair comparison can be made. This also allows us to advise you if it is worth the time and attention the quoting process can take, or if you are already paying a competitive premium.

Quite a few associations offer commercial general liability coverage to their members.  These polices are usually tailored specific to the business at a very competitive premium from a market we cannot access, and a price that we are usually not able to compete with.
