Christie is a 30+ year veteran of the financial services industry. She began her career in 1992 in Edmonton when she joined her mom, Pat Bewley at North American Life. They both relocated to beautiful Victoria in 1994 and began to build a clientele in BC while continuing to maintain their client relationships in Alberta.

Christie feels fortunate she helps clients pursue their dreams, achieve their goals, and protect those that are most important to them. She focuses on helping clients plan for and execute a successful retirement while also ensuring estate succession is accomplished.

Christie holds her CLU, and a designation as a Certified Financial Planner. She is a Court of the Table Member of MDRT and a member of the Victoria Estate Planning Council. Christie was President of the Vancouver Island Advocis Chapter in 2020 and 2021. Her leadership and strength of the board propelled the Chapter to be recognized as Chapter of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. She was named the Volunteer of the Year in 2020 for the BC region. She is now Regional Leader for BC Advocis Chapters.

Having cycled in the Tour de Cure for several years, Christie started Team Advocis BC in 2021. She and her teammates raised over $70,000 over two years for the BC Cancer Foundation.

As well as the BC Cancer Foundation, Christie supports the Food Bank and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS).

Christie was named recipient of the J. G. Taylor Award for 2021. The recipient is an example of a person who has contributed to a tangible, positive impact on the profession and the public whom they serve.

Christie is most proud of being the mother of her two children, Nicole, and Bennett.
