She leverages her more than three decades of experience in financial reporting, administration, and human resources in a diverse range of industries to support the operations of the company.
Emese joined Dehoney Financial Group on a term contract in 2019 that turned into an appointment as Vice President, Finance, a position she held until the 2024 amalgamation of Dehoney Financial Group, Arbutus Financial Services, and Pacific Employee Benefits rebranding to Waypoint Benefits & Financial Services. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. Her extensive experience in finance spans a wide range of industries, from financial services, custom manufacturing & design, health & safety, retail, scientific research, to public accounting, as well as a 14-year stint as a hands-on small business owner.
Emese served on the Parents Association of St. George’s School, which both of her sons attended, and enjoys travel, the theatre, gardening, long-weekends with her family in Howe Sound, and milk chocolate.
